asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the value of fabricated vessels, heat exchangers, and other equipment for the chemical and power industries imported during the last three months from Italy and other European countries.

The information given below is in respect of equipment which includes heat exchangers. Imports for particular industries are not distinguished in the trade statistics, No information in respect of fabricated vessels and other equipment can be given since these descriptions are insufficiently precise to enable them to be related to headings in the Statistical Classification for Imported Goods.
