§ Mr. Urwinasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will introduce legislation to extend the range of State-owned industries in the development areas as a whole and particularly in the Northern Region.
§ Mr. JayNo, but I shall continue to make full use of my existing powers under the Industrial Development and Local Employment Acts to provide publicly-owned factories in the development areas where this is essential to assist in the provision of employment.
