Mr. Turtonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will exercise his powers under Section 80 of the Public Health Acts Amendment Act, 1907, and Section 249 of the Local Government Act, 1933, to deal with the nuisance of cattle being driven in numbers along the highway between York and Osbaldwick.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsIt is for the local authorities concerned to ask me to apply Section 80 of the Public Health Acts Amendment Act, 1907, to their areas, or to confirm any byelaws which they may make under Section 249 of the Local Government Act, 1933. I will give prompt consideration to any such requests which I may receive.
