HC Deb 12 June 1967 vol 748 cc9-10W
77. Sir W. Teeling

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he is taking to obtain from the Brazilian Government the sums due since mid-March 1967 to be paid over on the Port of Para agreement; and whether he will consult with the United States of America, the French Government and the World Bank about the future action concerning this further default.

Mr. Mulley

Her Majesty's Ambassador at Rio de Janeiro has made representations to the Brazilian Government about the delay and is in close touch with the French Ambassador. I hope that the Brazilian Government will soon be able to complete its administrative arrangements for payment of the sums due.
