HC Deb 14 February 1967 vol 741 c84W
Mr. Russell Johnston

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many thalidomide-damaged children in Scotland are in school; and of these how many have gone to normal schools.

Mr. Ross

At the beginning of the school session 1965–66 45 children with limb deficiencies thought to have been associated with the use of thalidomide were attending school in Scotland; of these, 22 were in ordinary schools. I am obtaining figures for the 1966–67 session and shall send them to the hon. Member when they are available.
