HC Deb 14 February 1967 vol 741 cc64-5W
Mr. More

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what amount of public funds was expended on negotiations to re-sell to previous owners the various areas of the former Admiralty depot at Ditton Priors, Shropshire, prior to the termination of those negotiations on or about 10th January, 1967.

Mr. Redynolds

None that can be separately identified.

Mr. More

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he is aware that the roads serving the former rail-based Admiralty depot at Ditton Priors, Shropshire, are quite unsuitable for ammunition lorry traffic; and whether he intends to reopen the former depot railway.

Mr. Reynolds

Any damage which may be caused to the roads by the ammunition lorry traffic will be made good. The implications of reopening the railway link are being studied.
