HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c364W
Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the estimated increase in cost which British farmers will have to bear in respect of fertilisers in the event of Great Britain entering the European Economic Community.

Mr. Peart

The cost of fertilisers to British farmers would depend on their market prices, and on whether fertilisers subsidy were payable, in the conditions of an enlarged Community. Any prediction would be unduly speculative.
