HC Deb 02 February 1967 vol 740 c146W
Mr. Judd

asked the Minister of Overseas Development which organisations within the British Volunteer Programme only send volunteers to the developing countries; which have wider programmes of community service; what is the nature of such wider programmes; and how many volunteers were involved in them in 1966.

Mr. Oram

Voluntary Service Overseas is the only organisation within the British Volunteer Programme which sends volunteers exclusively within that Programme. Three of the other organisations in the Programme, namely, Catholic Institute for International Relations, International Voluntary Service, and The United Nations Association, have programmes of community service outside the British Volunteer Programme.

I have, of course, no responsibility for any activities outside the Programme, and for information about the further matters set out in the Question I must ask my hon. Friend to inquire of the organisations themselves.
