HC Deb 21 December 1967 vol 756 c515W
Mr. Dickens

asked the Attorney-General if he will introduce legislation to provide more adequate compensation for loss of expectation of life.

The Attorney-General:

This is a matter which is being considered by the Law Commission in the course of its general inquiry into the law relating to the assessment of damages in personal injury litigation, and it would be better to await the Commission's report before considering whether legislation is desirable.
