HC Deb 07 December 1967 vol 755 cc372-3W
69. Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will state the capital cost of buildings and all other items treated as capital, respectively, which have been handed over by Her Majesty's Government to the People's Republic of South Yemen.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

No precise calculation has been made but a rough estimate of the present day depreciated cost value of the non-military capital assets transferred is less than a quarter of a million pounds.

As regards military capital assets, this is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence.
