Bromley-Davenportasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is satisfied that local authorities are using their discretion sufficiently in purchasing houses from persons who have been adversely affected by planning blight; and what steps he proposes to take to assist local authorities in giving greater assistance in this field.
§ Mr. MacDermotMy right hon. Friend has urged local authorities to use this discretion and he is normally willing to grant loan sanction to cover such expenditure.
