§ 62. Mr. Burdenasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs if he is aware that on 135W 1st April the prices of ordnance survey maps were doubled; and if he will refer the matter to the National Board for Prices and Incomes for a decision as to whether this increase is justified.
§ Mr. AlbuWe are aware that there have been substantial price increases in some cases, but my right hon. Friend does not think that a reference would serve a useful purpose. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Land and Natural Resources gave a full explanation in a Written Answer on 23rd February of the plans for speeding up the re-survey programme and of the increases in map prices, royalties and other charges which were in consequence necessary.
