§ Mr. Bostonasked the Minister of Public Building and Works what action he proposes to take about the increasing 161W damage arising from agricultural and other development, which is being caused to archaeological field monuments such as burial mounds, settlements and earthworks of various kinds.
§ Mr. PrenticeI have decided to set up a small independent committee with the following terms of reference:—
To consider whether, in the light of present-day conditions, changes are needed in the scope and/or use made of the existing powers and arrangements for the protection of field monuments; and to make recommendations.I have appointed Sir David Walsh, K.B.E., C.B., as Chairman of this Committee and the following have agreed to serve as members:—
