§ Mr. McInnesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the Renfrewshire County Council regarding the building of a new town at Erskine and another new town at Houston; and what decision he has made.
§ Mr. RossRenfrew County Council has submitted a development plan amendment proposing, among other things, substantial new communities at Erskine and Houston. A number of objections have been made to these proposals and I expect an inquiry will be necessary. Accordingly I cannot take a decision at present.
