§ Mr. Raphael Tuckasked the Minister of Transport whether, during the period before the pedestrian subway on the North Orbital Road, Watford, outside St. Michael's School is completed, she will have constructed a temporary ramp in the road, so as to force drivers to slow down before reaching the vicinity of the School with the object of preventing further accidents to children.
§ Mr. SwinglerNo. We fear that such a ramp might create more accidents than it would save. My right hon. Friend is pressing on with the arrangements for provision of the pedestrian subway as quickly as possible.
