HC Deb 21 July 1966 vol 732 cc126-7W
Mr. Gregory

asked the President of the Board of Trade what support he will give to the British Nuclear Export Executive to ensure that the advanced gas-cooled reactor, and other British designed nuclear power systems are able to face overseas competition; and what backing he will give to industry in publicising and promoting abroad Great Britain's achievements in installed nuclear power capacity, with a view to realising essential exports.

Mr. Darling

The Board of Trade and other Departments concerned give to the British Nuclear Export Executive and to the nuclear power consortia all available information about export opportunities, and assist the industry in various other ways to publicise its export effort through overseas trade promotions. For example, the Board has given substantial support to the British nuclear equipment manufacturers taking part in the International Nuclear Industries Fair at Basle in September and my hon. Friend the Minister of State proposes to visit the Fair.
