HC Deb 21 July 1966 vol 732 c119W
47. Sir D. Renton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science why seven projects, together amounting to £604,500, have been excluded from the building programme for 1967–68 proposed by the local education authority in the Huntingdonshire division of the County of Huntingdon and Peterborough.

Mr. Redhead

Submissions for the programme as a whole greatly exceeded the resources available. In selecting projects for inclusion the needs of Huntingdon had to be measured against pressing demands elsewhere. I am satisfied that the area has been given a fair share of the total programme.
