§ Mr. MellishThe average price of new dwellings mortgaged by private owners with building societies was somewhat less than 2 per cent. higher in the first quarter of 1966 than in the fourth quarter of 1965. The costs of local authority 2 storey 3 bedroom houses rose by 2.7 per cent.
