§ Mr. Hoosonasked the Minister of Agriculture. Fisheries and Food what was the total amount expended by his Department and the river authorities and their predecessors during the years 1964–65 on flood-prevention measures to prevent flooding from rivers in England and Wales.
§ Mr. John MackieRiver Authorities spend about £14 million per annum on land drainage (including flood prevention). Part of this is grant-aided by my Department and payments over the last two financial years have averaged £3.9 million.
