HC Deb 31 January 1966 vol 723 c169W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what esimate he has made of the damage suffered by the agricultural industry due to the flooding in December in the Severn Valley in Wales and along the English borders and in the English border counties

(2) Whether he will give an estimate of the value of the damage to agricultural land and buildings caused by flooding in the valleys of the Dovey and its tributaries during the month of December 1965.

Mr. John Mackie

My information is that the damage to the agricultural industry generally was slight and I do not think that the cost of making a precise esimate would be justified.
