§ 78. Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will make a statement about Great Britain's continuing responsibility as co-guarantor of the constitution of Cyprus.
§ Mr. BottomleyThis responsibility derives from the Treaty of Guarantee (Cmnd. 1253), which was one of the Treaties comprising the 1960 Cyprus settlement. In Her Majesty's Government's view, these Treaties remain valid until altered by the mutual agreement of all the signatories.
