asked the Minister of Labour how many hours were lost by those participating in strikes or laid off in consequence during 1965; and what were the comparable figures for 1964 and 1963.
§ Mr. Thornton
It is estimated that about 2,933,000 working days were lost in 1965 in stoppages of work due to industrial disputes. The corresponding figures for 1964 and 1963 were about 2,277,000 and about 1,755,000, respectively. All the figures relate to the establishments where the disputes occurred.
