§ 23. Mr. Gurdenasked the Minister of Labour how many training places there were in Government training centres at the end of 1965; and when further in creases in the number of such places are expected to take place.
§ Mr. ThorntonOn 13th December, 1965, there were 5,754 training places in Government Training Centres. I estimate that there will be about 7,000 places by the end of this year and about 8,000 by the end of 1967.
§ 24. Mr. Gurdenasked the Minister of Labour in how many cases, and to what extent, the development or expansion of training centres has been curtailed or restricted because of trade union unwillingness to allow the employment as skilled men of persons retrained in such centres.
