HC Deb 21 February 1966 vol 725 c15W
Mr. Gregory

asked the Minister of Health what action he will take on the bed and staff situation at the Stockport Infirmary and the Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport.

Mr. K. Robinson

Plans for increasing the number of hospital beds to serve the Stockport area are under consideration in the current review of the hospital building; programme. I am aware that there has been some difficulty in filling certain medical posts but I have no doubt that the Board and Hospital Management Committee can be relied on to take all possible action to deal with these difficulties and any other staffing problems which may arise.
