Mr. Whitaker

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many local electors in the United Kingdom are entitled to more than one vote through business or separate property votes or otherwise.

In the 1966 register of electors for Great Britain the total number of local government electors registered in respect of a non-resident qualification is 149,667, of whom 127,011 are registered in England and Wales, and 22,656 in Scotland. Local government elections in Northern Ireland are a matter for the authorities there.

Mr. Whitaker

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many local electors in the United Kingdom voted more than once at the last elections.
