HC Deb 21 December 1966 vol 738 c351W
Mr. Whitaker

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many electors are registered for the local elections for the City of London, compared with the number of people who live and/or work in that area.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

I understand that the number of persons entitled to vote in ward elections for the Court of Common Council of the City of London is 12,855. It is estimated that the resident population (all ages) is 4,600, and that about half a million persons work there.
