HC Deb 02 December 1966 vol 737 c153W
Mr. Cant

asked the Attorney-General if he is aware of the publication of certain obscene articles in Stoke-on-Trent by a Lancashire firm, details of which have been sent to him; and if he will instruct the Director of Public Prosecutions to take action.

The Attorney-General

The Director of Public Prosecutions has consulted me about the articles in question. I agree with his conclusion that the public interest does not require a prosecution under the Obscene Publications Acts in respect of these articles.
