HC Deb 02 December 1966 vol 737 c153W
Mr. Colin Jackson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what progress has been made in connection with the appointment of a United Nations Mission 13 South Arabia to assist in that territory's advance towards independence in 1968.

Mrs. White

A draft resolution which, among other things, calls for the appointment of a United Nations mission to South Arabia, is now before the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly. My noble Friend, Lord Caradon, is continuing to press for early agreement on the sending of a mission to South Arabia.
