Mr. Henry Clarkasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what estimates his Department has made of the cost to the national economy of the clerical work in the private sector and in the nationalised industries entailed in keeping the necessary records for the collection of Income Tax, National Insurance, Graduated National Insurance, Selective Employment Tax and industrial training levy.
