§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Public Building and Works why the estimate for the erection of embassy offices in Madrid has increased from the original £200,000 to £400,000; and whether he will now defer this project, in view of the need for national economy.
§ Mr. PrenticeThe increase is due to steep rises in prices in Spain since the provisional estimate was prepared in 1962 and also to a measure of underestimation. The project is almost completed.
