HC Deb 23 November 1965 vol 721 c41W
73. Mr. Manual

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, what steps are taken by Her Majesty's Government, before continuing to locate new industry in the Irvine area, to ensure that sufficient power will be available to meet the future needs of industrial and domestic users there.

Mr. William Ross

I have been assured by the South of Scotland Electricity Board that sufficient electrical power can be made available to meet all needs expected to arise in the Irvine area.
