§ Sir W. Bromley-Davenportasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when action will be taken to treat intensive breeding houses for poultry, pigs and calves on the same basis for rating purposes as other agricultural buildings; and what guidance he will give to farmers who wish to modernise their farms and increase their efficiency by such intensive rearing, but who are uncertain as to the future rating burden resulting from such improvements.
§ Mr. HoyThe question of the rating of intensive livestock production buildings must await the outcome of the Government's examination of local government finance including the rating system.
