§ Mr. CousinsThe choice of Director is especially complex on this occasion owing to the decision to amalgamate the National Chemical Laboratory and the National Physical Laboratory. I am in consultation with the Royal Society and hope to make an announcement at an early date. The post has been vacant since October, 1964.
