HC Deb 21 June 1965 vol 714 c144W
53 and 54. Mr. Wilkins

asked the Minister of Public Buildings and Works (1) whether he has now considered the representations submitted to him by the town clerk of Bristol expressing concern at the continuing trespass upon Crown land at Colliters Brook, Ashton, Bristol, by itinerant caravan dwellers; and what action he now proposes to take;

(2) what consideration he has given to the hazards to public health through lack of sanitation, water supply, etc., caused by the continued occupation of Crown land, known as Colliters Brook, Ashton, Bristol, by itinerant caravan dwellers; and why he has halted the legal processes for trespass.

Mr. Boyden

My right hon. Friend is well aware of the problems created by the itinerant caravan dwellers at present occupying land owned by the Ministry at Colliters Brook. I am shortly to meet a deputation from the Bristol Council to discuss this matter.
