§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if he will make an estimate of the total costs of State-financed scientific research at British universities, and where relevant, colleges of advanced technology, for the years 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960 and 1964; and whether he will give an estimate for 1970;
(2) whether he will state the total governmental expenditure on universities for the years 1920, 1930, 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964, including expenditure on colleges of advanced technology where relevant; and whether he will give an estimate for 1970;
(3) whether he will give an estimate of the cost per place to the State of an 365W arts, natural science, engineering, and medical faculty undergraduate, respectively, for the years 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950, 1955, 1960 and 1964; and whether he will give an estimate for 1970.
