asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many last war brick-built communal air-raid shelters are still in Glasgow; how many were removed in the special efforts during the winter of 1963–64; what plans he has for a similar effort; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Willis

During the winter of 1963–64 897 communal shelters were removed and 1,400 remain. I have no plans for a similar programme.
