HC Deb 12 April 1965 vol 710 c139W
Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Minister of Aviation what would be the cost of incorporating in the scheme to enlarge the civil air terminal at Aldergrove, in County Antrim, a passenger lift, a one-way passenger escalator and a two-way passenger escalator, respectively.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

A lift, including installation, would cost £4–5,000; escalators would cost about £9,000 each plus installation, which could be heavy as it would involve a major reorganisation of the whole development scheme.
