§ Mr. MaudlingThe figures in the White Paper, which cover more than the expenditure of Government Departments, are an approximate calculation of the prospective level of public expenditure in 1967–68 on the basis of the Government's present policies and programmes. They do not represent a Government decision about the level of expenditure in that year.
