§ Mr. MaudlingIn 1962–63 aid to developing countries from British public funds was £148 million. This represented rather more than one half of one per cent. of the Gross National Product. Exact comparisons with other donor countries are not really practic-26W able. These figures omit the substantial flow of funds to developing countries in the form of British private investment.
