§ 79. Mr. David Jamesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the recent Vatican Council recommendation that the date of Easter should be fixed, he will introduce legislation to fix it in this country in the middle of April.
§ Mr. WoodhouseThe Easter Act, 1928, provides that Easter Day shall be the first Sunday after the second Saturday in April. The Act does not come into operation until a date to be fixed by Order in Council, and this would need to be preceded by agreement among the Churches.
