§ 78. Mr. Parkinasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to make illegal the manufacture and possession of tablets containing amphetamine derivatives and compounds unless these incorporate a proportion of ipecacuanha, or other emetic, sufficient to operate if any quantity is taken above that of a medical prescription.
§ Mr. BrookeI understand that the addition of an emetic in sufficient quantity to serve a useful purpose might make such tablets unsuitable for legitimate medical use. I will, however, give further consideration to the hon. Member's suggestion.
