§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make arrangements for English summaries or, in appropriate instances, full translations of, all major policy documents and reports published by the Common Market Commission to be prepared and published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office, until such time as English should become one of the languages of the Commission.
§ Mr. George ThomsonHer Majesty's Stationery Office already publishes unofficial translations into English of the full text—or, in appropriate cases of, summaries—of all Regulations adopted by the European Economic Community. The Publishing Services of the European Communities publish English translations of all major European Economic Community reports and of many other documents. All these European Economic Community publications are obtainable through Her Majesty's Stationery Office, which is the official distributor in the United Kingdom for the Communities' Publishing Services. If there are any major documents published by the European Communities which are of interest to the hon. Member and which are not otherwise available in English. I should always be prepared to make an English translation available to him.
