Durham MotorwayIt is too early to be precise. Advance bridge works begin this year; main road works on the first section will start next year; other lengths will follow with a view to completion in three to four years.167W

The detailed programming of the other schemes referred to, which are part of 168W the Government's special additional road programme for the North-East, is being worked out and precise completion dates cannot be given. The aim is to start all these schemes within the next five years.
