§ Q7. Sir C. Taylorasked the Prime Minister whether it is now intended to strike a medal for those British troops who have been serving in Cyprus.
§ The Prime MinisterThe services rendered by British troops since 21st December in Cyprus have been most praiseworthy, but I do not consider that it would be appropriate to recommend at present the striking of a medal. The matter is one which could be considered when the disturbances are over.
