§ Q10. Sir J. Edenasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the threat posed to the security of the Sovereign 104W Base Areas in Cyprus by the invitation of the Cyprus Government to General Grivas to return, he will raise the matter in the Security Council under Article 34 of the Charter of the United Nations.
§ The Prime MinisterAs I understand it the Cyprus Government has not invited General Grivas to return to Cyprus. This question does not therefore arise. I am glad to say that the presence of our Sovereign Base Areas is no part of the present difficulties in Cyprus.
