HC Deb 22 July 1963 vol 681 c122W
38. Mr. Rankin

asked the Minister of Aviation if he is aware of the official statement by Mr. Najeeb Halaby, the administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency, that the United States will be able to sell 115 American supersonic aircraft during a 10-year period after 1970; and what effect this will have on sales of the Concord, and also on the agreement with Pan-American Airways.

Mr. Amery

I have seen a copy of the statement to which the hon. Member refers. It is premature to estimate the possible effect of an American supersonic airliner on sales of the Concord. The agreement with Pan American stands.
