asked the Minister of Aviation what steps he proposes to ensure adequate air services to the Highland and Islands of Scotland.

The Corporation's recent application for a subsidy is now being considered, but I am not yet ready to make a statement.

The arrangements for the existing services are the commercial responsibility of the Corporation.
