§ 35. Mr. Wainwrightasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give the estimated total number of places which will be available for students at the universities and colleges of technology for the years 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1966.
§ Mr. BarberThe objective is to provide 150,000 university places by 1966–67 and 15,000 places in colleges of advanced technology by the same date. I should prefer not to give specific estimates for intervening years.
