HC Deb 01 March 1962 vol 654 cc166-7W
59. Mr. Ginsburg

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the increase of nearly 50 per cent. in the value of imports of woollen goods, as classified in Class D, Division 6, of the Trade and Navigation Accounts, for 1961 as against 1960.

Mr. Erroll

The increase in imports of wool goods included in Division 6 of Class D of the Trade and Navigation Accounts was due mainly to increased imports of worsted yarn from France and of woven woollen cloth from Italy.
