78. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Air what special measures are being taken to protect Government property at the Royal Air Force Station at Chigwell from theft, damage and destruction.

Mr. Amery

We shall dispose of this property as soon as the necessary arrangements can be made. In the meantime we have engaged civilian caretakers, with previous experience of the station, to keep a 24 hour watch in cooperation with the local police.
